SousakuAI Is Paying Cash and Premium Subscriptions for Halloween Videos Made With Its Own Tools
Eight categories, 22 video prize slots and a 200-credit reward for every video entered. Submissions to SousakuAI's Halloween Creation Cup close on 27 October 2026, JST.
Most Halloween contests ask for a costume photo and a hashtag. SousakuAI's Halloween Creation Cup asks for a short film. Four video categories run from horror to comedy, and a video of anything from 30 seconds to 10 minutes can win a cash prize.
The window is short. Submissions opened on 15 October and close on 27 October 2026, on a schedule the organiser lists in Japan Standard Time (JST). The page publishes no cutoff hour, so treat the deadline as a day early and upload well before the 27th ends. The host is SousakuAI, a generative platform, and the official announcement points entrants to its event page.
What you submit
The video competition has four categories. Midnight Halloween Tales is horror and thriller. Trick or Treat is cute or sexy. Greetings from Another World is heartwarming or romantic. Everyday Life of Ghosts is comedy and lighthearted. You can enter all four, with a maximum of one video per category.
The image competition also has four categories: Halloween Costume Design, Halloween Makeover: Familiar Places, A Photo with Ghosts, and Looks Normal... Until You Look Closer.
The main visual content must be generated with SousakuAI, though every model available on the platform is eligible. External tools are allowed for editing, music, subtitles and finishing. Work must be original and previously unpublished. Any music or materials must be ones you own or have permission to use. Recommended aspect ratios are 9:16 or 16:9.
Excessive sexual content, extreme violence, graphic gore and bloodshed are not permitted. That matters for the horror category in particular, so keep the dread implied.
Prize structure
The video competition carries 22 winning slots and a stated total value of 900,000 yen, about $5,680 USD. That total counts both cash and subscriptions, so read it with care.
- Category Excellence Awards: 12 winners, three per category. Each receives a 50,000 yen cash prize (about $315) and three months of Sousaku Premium.
- Popularity Awards: 5 winners, each receiving three months of Sousaku Premium. No cash.
- Sousaku Special Awards: 5 winners, each receiving three months of Sousaku Premium. No cash.
Cash is paid in Japanese yen, and the dollar figures are for reference only. Only 12 of the 22 slots include cash, so the headline figure overstates the money.
The image competition pays in credits only. Ten works per category are selected, and each receives 500 credits. These are not part of the video prize pool.
Every eligible video entry earns 200 credits, up to 800 across the four categories, plus a commemorative badge. Image entries do not earn the 200-credit reward.
Terms worth reading
The page states no entry fee, but you must follow the @sousakuai account on X and join the SousakuAI Discord, and both are required. You then register on the event page, upload your work, and share it on X with both #SousakuAI and #SousakuHalloween2026. A public post is therefore part of entering.
The announcement does not mention who owns the work or what licence the organiser takes, and it does not say how winners are paid or taxed. Read the full rules on the event page before uploading.
The prizes are tied to the platform itself. Premium months and credits only help if you want to keep using SousakuAI, and the contest requires its tools for the main visuals.
