Krea Agent now gives you full 3D camera control over any input image before handing off to Seedance for final render
Krea's official account has demonstrated a three-step agentic workflow that converts a single still image into a fully camera-controlled video via a 3D scene intermediate, with Seedance handling the final render. It is the closest thing yet to director-level camera authority inside an AI video pipeline.
Camera control has always been the gap that separates AI video generation from actual filmmaking. You can describe a dolly or an orbit in a prompt and hope the model interprets it correctly, or you can try to wrangle ControlNet rigs that require hours of setup. Krea just demonstrated something materially different: a three-step workflow inside Krea Agent that turns a flat input image into a 3D scene, lets you specify any camera movement you want in plain language, and then renders the final video through Seedance. The whole thing is agentic, meaning the system executes each stage in sequence rather than requiring you to hop between tools.
The practical implication is significant. Any image you already have, whether a concept frame, a photograph, or a still from a previous generation, becomes a controllable camera rig. You are no longer guessing how a model will interpret "slow push in from the left." You build the 3D scene first, move the camera where you need it, and only then commit to the render. That is a workflow logic borrowed from traditional pre-visualisation, and it changes how you plan a shot.
What the workflow actually looks like
Per creator @krea_ai, the three steps are: take an input image and ask the agent to create a 3D scene from it; once the scene exists, ask for any camera movement you want; finally, ask the agent to render the 3D video using Seedance. Each step is a natural-language instruction to the agent, not a settings panel. The 3D scene reconstruction is the load-bearing middle step. It gives the system a spatial model of the image to navigate, which is why the camera movement in the output can feel geometrically plausible rather than motion-estimated.
This matters most for shots where the camera relationship to the subject is the point of the scene: arc shots around a character, slow reveals that reframe the subject against a background, or push-ins that need to maintain consistent perspective. Prompt-only approaches to these tend to drift or hallucinate depth. The 3D intermediate constrains the motion.
What is still unknown
Krea has not announced pricing for Krea Agent access beyond what is already on their platform, and the demo does not confirm how complex scenes handle occlusion, meaning areas of the image that were not visible in the original frame. When you orbit a camera around a subject in a real 3D scene, surfaces that were hidden become visible. AI-reconstructed 3D scenes need to inpaint or hallucinate those areas, and how Krea Agent handles that edge case is not shown. Equally, no date has been given for any capability expansion beyond what is in the current demo.
The Seedance render step is where the final motion quality lives, which means output is bounded by Seedance's current generation ceiling. If you need output at resolutions or durations beyond what Seedance currently supports, the workflow does not change that ceiling. What it changes is the quality and reliability of the camera instruction you feed into it.
What to test first
The obvious starting point is a shot you have already tried to describe in a prompt and been disappointed by. Take that same prompt's output image, feed it into Krea Agent as the input, rebuild the scene, and specify the camera move you actually wanted. Compare the two outputs. That delta will tell you quickly whether the 3D intermediate is solving the specific problem you have, or whether the limitation was somewhere else in the chain.
For product work, the workflow is particularly promising. A single hero product image can become an orbit, a pull-back reveal, or a close-approach shot without reshooting or regenerating the product from scratch. The image is the anchor; the camera does the work.
