Runway is giving new Max and Team subscribers three days of unlimited Kling 4, plus 25% off for everyone
Runway has put Kling 4 on its platform with a three-day unlimited window for new Max and Team plans and 25% off on all plans. Here is how to use the window and what to check before you commit.
If you have been waiting for a cheap way to stress-test Kling 4 properly, this is it. @runwayml says Unlimited Kling 4 is now live on Runway. Sign up for a new Max or Team plan and you get three days of unlimited access. Everyone else gets 25% off Kling 4 on all plans.
That matters because the expensive part of judging a new video model is not the first generation. It is the fiftieth. Camera moves fail, hands drift, a character changes jacket between shots. You only find out how a model behaves under real project pressure when you can afford to be wasteful. Three uncapped days is exactly that kind of window.
Where else Kling 4.0 is turning up
The Runway offer landed in the middle of a wide rollout. @Kling_ai has posted that the Kling 4.0 API is officially rolling out, that the model is now available on fal, that it is live on Higgsfield, and that it is running on Magnific. Kling also amplified the Runway offer with its own post.
So you now have at least five places to run the same model. That is good for choice. It is also a reason to be careful, because the same model name can sit behind different pricing, queues and interface controls on each platform.
Kling also shared a Korean director's account of using Kling 4.0 for a Kafka-inspired subway scene with a giant worm. Treat that as the maker's own testimony, not a benchmark.
What was not said
Runway's post is short, and the gaps matter.
- Plan prices. The post does not state what Max or Team cost. Check the pricing page before you sign up.
- What "unlimited" means. There is no mention of resolution caps, clip length limits, queue priority or fair-use throttling. Unlimited access can still be slow at peak hours.
- Renewal terms. The window is described as three days of access on a new plan. It does not say what happens on day four, or whether you can cancel cleanly. Set a calendar reminder.
- Who counts as new. The offer is aimed at new Max or Team sign-ups. Existing subscribers only get the 25% discount, as far as the post says.
- End date. No deadline was given for the offer.
None of that makes the deal bad. It means you should read the small print before you pay.
How to use three days well
Do not spend an uncapped window on pretty one-off shots. Plan it like a test shoot.
First, bring the shot that has defeated you on other models. Crowded spaces, fast camera moves, a character who must stay consistent across cuts. Kling says 4.0 improves stability across complex motion and camera movement, so test that claim on your hardest scene.
Second, run the same prompt several times and judge the spread, not the best result. A model that gives you one stunning take in ten is a different tool from one that gives you six usable takes.
Third, export a cut. Put three or four clips into a timeline and see whether they sit together. Consistency across clips is where AI video usually falls apart.
Fourth, log everything. Note prompts, settings and failure types, so you can compare the same shots on fal, Higgsfield or Magnific afterwards, where pricing may suit a long project better.
The bottom line
For a working AI filmmaker this is a cheap, time-boxed way to decide whether Kling 4.0 belongs in your pipeline. The trade-off is that you are committing to a new plan to get it, and the post leaves out the numbers you need to judge the true cost. If you only want a quick look, the 25% discount may be the safer route. If you have a real test list ready, start the clock when you have a free weekend, not on a busy Tuesday.
