Video Editor

The footage you cut is AI-generated. That changes the job: shots arrive in variations rather than takes, continuity is something you build rather than protect, and the edit is often where the piece is found. We are hiring an editor who understands that and is excited by it.

This is a full-time remote role, open worldwide. You will cut client campaigns, our own episodic shows and studio content, working with our AI video artists and directors.

What you will do

- Cut trailers, ads, episodes and social pieces from AI-generated shots, reference and live-action where used
- Select the best generation from a set of variations and tell the artist what to regenerate
- Own pacing, rhythm and structure, and find the cut when the material does not hand it to you
- Sound design, music edits, titles, basic colour and delivery to spec for streaming and social
- Keep versions, feedback and delivery organised across many pieces at once

Levels

We hire at three levels. Tell us which one you are applying for.

- Entry, $40,000 to $50,000. You are a competent cutter with finished work to show. You assemble, sync, clean up and deliver to a brief. You are fast in your NLE and you take notes well.
- Mid, $50,000 to $85,000. You cut a piece from raw generations to delivered master on your own. You make selects, find the rhythm, do the sound and titles, and hand over something a client can sign off.
- Senior, $90,000 to $100,000. You own the cut across a series or a campaign, set the editorial voice, and improve the material through the edit. You can lead other editors and you feed back to the artists on what to generate next.

You are the level where the description is true of you today, not where you hope to be in a year.

Compensation: Base salary in USD, $40,000 to $100,000 depending on level, experience and location. We tell you where you sit in the range before the first interview.

- Finished work you can show, cut by you, ideally with some AI-generated footage in it
- Fast and fluent in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut, with After Effects or Fusion for titles and fixes
- A real sense of pacing and story, not just clean assembly
- Sound design and music editing to a professional standard
- Nice to have: colour grading, motion graphics, experience delivering for streaming platforms, familiarity with AI video tools
