Screenwriter

Studio · Remote · Full-time

We write for AI-generated film and series, and for brand campaigns that get made the same way. Writing for this medium is its own craft: scripts have to work in short scenes, characters have to be built for consistency, and what can be shown for the budget is decided at the page, not on set. We are hiring a writer who can do that and who wants to be part of building original shows.

This is a full-time remote role, open worldwide. You will work with our directors and producers on original series, short films and client work.

What you will do

- Write scripts, treatments, outlines and pitch documents for original series, short films and brand campaigns
- Develop characters and worlds that can be produced consistently in AI video
- Write to a brief and a format when the job needs it, and create from scratch when it does not
- Break a story into scenes and shots that a small AI production team can actually make
- Take notes, rewrite quickly and keep a production schedule

Levels

We hire at three levels. Tell us which one you are applying for.

- Entry, $40,000 to $50,000. You have finished scripts to show, written to a brief before, and you take notes well. You are fast and reliable and you want to learn how this medium works.
- Mid, $50,000 to $85,000. You take an outline or a brief and deliver a shootable script on your own, with strong dialogue and structure. You know what is expensive to show and you write around it.
- Senior, $90,000 to $150,000. You create the show. You pitch, develop and write original series and films that get made, you set the voice, and you can run a room or guide other writers.

You are the level where the description is true of you today, not where you hope to be in a year.

Compensation: Base salary in USD, $40,000 to $150,000 depending on level, experience and location. We tell you where you sit in the range before the first interview.

- Finished scripts you can send: at least one short film or pilot, and at least one piece written to a brief
- Strong dialogue, structure and economy; you can write a scene that plays in under a minute
- Comfortable across short-form episodic, short film and commercial formats
- Nice to have: produced work of any kind; experience with AI video tools or an understanding of what they can and cannot show; genre range (horror, sci-fi, comedy)
